Clive Davis served as executive producer, with production from Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, André 3000, Harvey Mason Jr., and Terry Hunter. The album featured "Rolling in the Deep (The Aretha Version)," an Adele cover that interpolated Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, along with covers of Etta James' "At Last" and Gladys Knight's "Midnight Train to Georgia."
