Hey Now Hey (The Other Side of the Sky) is a 1973 soul, funk, and jazz album by Aretha Franklin, released on Atlantic Records on June 25 of that year. It was her first Atlantic album not produced by Jerry Wexler, with Quincy Jones taking over production and Franklin co-producing, and it was originally conceived as a jazz record. The lead single "Angel," written by her sister Carolyn Franklin with Sonny Sanders, topped the R&B chart and reached the Top 20 of the pop chart, while "Master of Eyes (The Deepness of Your Eyes)" was also issued as a single. Billy Preston, Spooner Oldham, and saxophonist Phil Woods were among the players, and the recording mixed soul with jazz and funk arrangements. The album reached number 30 on the Billboard 200, making it the first Atlantic album of her run to miss the Top 25, and it peaked at number 2 on the R&B albums chart.
