Jump to It is a 1982 synth-funk album by Aretha Franklin, released on Arista Records on July 26 of that year. The record was produced by Luther Vandross and Franklin, with Marcus Miller, Nat Adderley Jr., George Duke, and Louis Johnson among the musicians. The title track "Jump to It" became her first Top 40 pop hit since 1976 and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, while "Love Me Right" and "This Is for Real" were also featured. The album reached number 23 on the Billboard 200 and spent seven weeks at number 1 on the R&B albums chart, her tenth chart-topper there, and it was certified Gold on February 1, 1983. It also won the American Music Award for Best Soul Album in 1983, cementing the Vandross collaboration as a commercial high point of her Arista years.
