Miracle Pill pushes the band further into modern, co-written pop-rock, with John Rzeznik writing alongside Sam Hollander, Derek Fuhrmann, Drew Pearson, and Grant Michaels. The title track and "Money, Fame & Fortune" lead a glossy, hook-driven set, while Robby Takac contributes a couple of his own songs. It is among the band's most contemporary-sounding albums.
Miracle Pill was released by Warner Records on September 13, 2019, recorded that year at Gold Diggers, Capitol and the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. Five producers worked on it, among them Sam Hollander, Derek Fuhrmann and Drew Pearson, and the writing is shared with them throughout. Three singles came out ahead of the album: the title track in June, 'Money, Fame & Fortune' in July with Valerie Broussard singing on it, and 'Indestructible' in August. It reached number 92 on the Billboard 200.
