Production is the part of this record that is documented. Cleopatra's own release copy and Discogs both name Jürgen Engler of Die Krupps, and Discogs adds Brandon Smith beside him. The writing is the part that is not: only two of the twelve songs carry a named author anywhere. Cry Little Sister is the 1987 Lost Boys theme by Gerard McMahon and Michael Mainieri, and Discogs credits Jonas Groth on In the End. The other ten sit under the act name, which says nothing about which member wrote what in a line-up that still had four people in it. The Passenger shares a title with the Iggy Pop song and is a different song altogether.

Cleopatra Records released Sleepwalker on 30 August 2011, after Brandon Smith had spent time touring with Apoptygma Berzerk. Jürgen Engler of Die Krupps produced it alongside Smith, and the CD edition paired the twelve-song album with a second disc of remixes by Powerman 5000, Tommie Sunshine, Angelspit and others. Warning Signs later turned up in the soundtrack to Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, and Cleopatra put the album on vinyl for the first time in 2022.
