Powerman 5000 is an American industrial metal band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1991, led by vocalist and sole songwriter Spider One (Michael Cummings), the younger brother of Rob Zombie. The band broke through nationally with their 1999 DreamWorks major-label debut Tonight the Stars Revolt!, which went platinum on the strength of 'When Worlds Collide.' Through more than three decades of constant lineup changes, Spider One has remained the only consistent member and the exclusive author of every lyric across the band's original catalog.
