By the Numbers
Brandon Smith is the sole composer and sole lyricist on ten of the fifteen tracks, and he produced all fifteen. The collaborations sit in a tight cluster: Sven Selka of INHUMAN on "Quicksand", Joseph Anthony Gonzalez of Blush Response on "Levitate", Amir Davidson of Julien-K on "ANTILIFE", and Intrelock sharing the lyrics and vocal melody on "Pretend". "Your Lies Are Like Fire" is the outlier with five composers, Smith beside Alex Gonzales, Amir Davidson, Anthony Valcic and Ryan Shuck, the only track where he is outnumbered. The closing Pixies cover is the single track with no Anix writing credit at all, and it is also the only one published outside FiXT Music.
Revenge is a studio album by The Anix, released on 14 January 2022 through FiXT. Brandon Smith wrote it, produced it, mixed it, mastered it and drew the cover, and he brought in four collaborators along the way: Julien-K, INHUMAN, Intrelock and Blush Response. The fifteen tracks close on an acoustic live reading of the Pixies song "Where Is My Mind", the only song on the record Smith did not write.
