All fifteen tracks carry the same writer and the same producer, and TIDAL prints them on a single writer line rather than splitting composer from lyricist the way it does on the later FiXT albums. That is what a first solo record looks like inside a credits database: no co-writers, no outside producer, no session players to list against any track. The one place a second party appears is publishing, where Position Music Publishing shares the record with FiXT Music, which fits how hard this catalogue was being worked for film, game and trailer sync.

Shadow_Movement is the first The Anix record made as a solo project and the first for FiXT, released on 19 October 2018 after Brandon Smith ended the band lineup that had carried the group through Ephemeral. Fifteen tracks build a dystopian cyberpunk setting around a rogue agent called the Interchanger, with This Machine, Come Back Down, Black Space, Incomplete and Interchanger all going out as singles across the summer beforehand. Smith wrote, produced and mixed the whole album; Kenneth Little supplied the artwork and Smith the photography. FiXT reissued it as a limited double LP for the album's fifth anniversary.
