Data Insight

Off the Ground was written mostly by Paul McCartney alone, but it includes two more songs from his collaboration with Elvis Costello (credited as Declan MacManus): Mistress and Maid and The Lovers That Never Were. These came out of the same late-1980s writing sessions that produced much of Flowers in the Dirt. McCartney co-produced the album with Julian Mendelsohn.

Off the Ground is the fifteenth studio album by Paul McCartney, released in February 1993. McCartney produced the album himself. It includes the Costello co-write 'The Lovers That Never Were' and features a live band including guitarist Robbie McIntosh and drummer Blair Cunningham.
