Data Insight
Whibley is on nineteen of the twenty tracks, the exception being the Stones cover, and outside co-writers appear more than on any other album: Mike Green, Nick Bailey, Sam Preston and Sam Tinnesz all turn up. Splitting the record in two by genre is the clearest statement of what the band had been doing since 2002, made deliberately as a last one.
Heaven :x: Hell is Sum 41's eighth and final album, released in March 2024 on Rise Records. It is a double album split into a pop punk half and a metal half, twenty tracks in all, and closes with a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black". The band disbanded the following year.
