Nasir is Nas's seven-track collaboration with Kanye West, who produced and executive-produced the whole record as part of his 2018 Wyoming Sessions. Nas writes his own verses, but the short runtime and West's dominant production make it as much a Kanye project as a Nas one, and reviews were mixed. "Nasir" is the 2018 eleventh studio album by Nas, a hip-hop and progressive rap record and his first in six years since "Life Is Good." It was executive produced by Kanye West as the fourth of five projects from West's Wyoming Sessions, with additional production from Mike Dean, Dot da Genius, and Cashmere Cat. Tracks included "Cops Shot the Kid" featuring Kanye West, "Everything" with The-Dream and Kanye West, and "Not for Radio" featuring Puff Daddy and 070 Shake. The album debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 with 77,000 album-equivalent units, giving Nas his twelfth top-ten album. It received generally mixed reviews with a Metacritic score of 58, as critics praised West's production but felt the project sounded rushed.
