Magic 3 closes out the six-album Hit-Boy run, released on Nas's 50th birthday as a capstone to his late-career renaissance, and he writes every verse himself. Hit-Boy produces the whole record, with Lil Wayne the lone guest on "Never Die." "Magic 3" is the 2023 seventeenth studio album by Nas, a hip-hop record released on his 50th birthday as the third installment in his Magic series. It was produced entirely by Hit-Boy, completing six consecutive Nas albums produced by Hit-Boy across the King's Disease trilogy and the Magic series. Notable tracks included "Fever," "Superhero Status," "Blue Bentley," and "Never Die" featuring Lil Wayne, the album's lone guest. The album debuted at number 65 on the Billboard 200 and reached number 26 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It earned universal acclaim with a Metacritic score of 86, with critics calling the Nas and Hit-Boy partnership one of the most interesting late-career runs in hip-hop history.
