Xscape is Michael Jackson's second posthumous album, releasing eight unreleased recordings from 1980 to 1999 that modern producers reworked, or contemporized, for 2014. Despite the posthumous production, Jackson wrote or co-wrote all eight songs, including Love Never Felt So Good with Paul Anka, so its authorship score is complete. It is the rare case where new production sits on top of fully self-authored material.
Xscape is the second posthumous studio album by Michael Jackson, released on May 13, 2014. Executive produced by L.A. Reid and curated by John McClain, it presents eight previously unreleased Jackson recordings that were 'contemporized' by modern producers including Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, and Stargate. The album debuted at number one in multiple countries and was certified platinum in the US. The lead single 'Love Never Felt So Good,' co-written with Paul Anka, reached the top five in over a dozen countries.
