Cyndi Lauper's eleventh studio album, released June 1, 2010, through Downtown Records, an all-covers blues album co-produced with Memphis producer Scott Bomar. Recorded in Memphis, Tennessee, the album draws on the repertoire of Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Little Walter, Albert King, Ida Cox, Lowell Fulson, and others. Memphis Blues won the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards in 2011, alongside guest contributions from B.B. King, Jonny Lang, Ann Peebles, Charlie Musselwhite, and Allen Toussaint. None of the twelve tracks are Lauper originals, making this one of three albums in her catalog that scores 0% authorship. The album continued a late-career pattern of genre exploration that began with the jazz standards of At Last and would extend to the country covers of Detour.
