The writing split has not moved in twenty years: Oli Sykes takes the words on every track, and the music is credited to the five-piece that recorded the 2006 original, Curtis Ward included, even though he left the band in 2009. The one exception is the new song. “Dehumanized” is Sykes and Lee Malia alone on both words and music, which makes it the first Bring Me the Horizon track to carry a two-name credit rather than the full band. Sykes and Malia also produced this version themselves, where Dan Sprigg produced the original.
Count Your Blessings: Repented is a re-recording of Bring Me the Horizon’s 2006 debut, released on July 10, 2026 through RCA and Sony. Cut at Casa do Syko in Brazil and produced by Oli Sykes and Lee Malia themselves, it re-does all ten original tracks and adds one new song, “Dehumanized”, which went to number one on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. Founding guitarist Curtis Ward, who left the band in 2009, keeps his writing credit on the ten re-recorded songs.
