Tyler, the Creator (Tyler Gregory Okonma) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer from Hawthorne, California, best known as the founder of the Odd Future collective. He debuted with the self-released mixtape Bastard (2009) and established himself as one of hip-hop's most distinctive auteurs with Goblin (2011) and Wolf (2013). His later albums Flower Boy (2017), Igor (2019), and Call Me If You Get Lost (2021) won him three Grammy Awards for Best Rap Album, cementing his evolution from shock-rap provocateur to one of pop music's most ambitious composers. He writes, produces, and frequently performs all parts of his records himself.
