Tyler, the Creator wrote and self-produced the entire album, handling the beats, arrangements, and lyrics himself while bringing in co-producers Jamie xx, Jay Versace, and Madlib on individual cuts of the deluxe edition. The defining structural conceit is that DJ Drama hosts the record in the style of his Gangsta Grillz mixtape series, ad-libbing over the tracks and framing Tyler's verses, which pushes the album toward a louder, more boastful rap mode than his prior work. Guest features including the top-charting 'Wusyaname' anchor the project, but the writing and production voice remains entirely Tyler's.
Call Me If You Get Lost is the seventh studio album by Tyler, the Creator, released on June 25, 2021 through Columbia Records. Framed as a Gangsta Grillz mixtape and narrated by DJ Drama, the album spans hip-hop, jazz, soul, and reggae, with production from Tyler alongside Jamie xx and Jay Versace. Its features include 42 Dugg, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Wayne, Pharrell Williams, and Lil Uzi Vert, with singles "Lumberjack" and "Wusyaname." The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, Tyler's second chart-topper, and won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album in 2022.
