Wolf is Tyler, the Creator's third album and the one where his self-production began moving toward fuller, more melodic arrangements while he still wrote and produced essentially all of it himself. Pharrell Williams co-features and appears on 'IFHY,' and the record draws guest vocals from Frank Ocean and Erykah Badu alongside Odd Future members Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis and Hodgy Beats. Mixing was handled by Manny Marroquin, Jaycen Joshua and Andrew Dawson, but Tyler retained complete authorship of the writing and beats, narrating a loose summer-camp storyline across the album.
Wolf is the third studio album by Tyler, the Creator, released on April 2, 2013 through Odd Future Records. Self-produced by Tyler, the alternative hip-hop concept album tells an interconnected narrative and features guest appearances from Frank Ocean, Erykah Badu, Pharrell Williams, Earl Sweatshirt, and Domo Genesis. Its lead single "Domo23" preceded the release, with critics praising Tyler's radical growth as a producer. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, selling 89,000 copies in its first week, and was later certified platinum. Wolf marked a more melodic, musically ambitious turn that foreshadowed the lusher sound of his later work.
