By the Numbers
Every original on Bridges to Babylon is credited to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, recorded with a sprawling roster of producers: the Glimmer Twins themselves alongside Don Was, the Dust Brothers, Rob Fraboni, Danny Saber and Pierre de Beauport. The Dust Brothers brought loops and sampling to tracks like 'Anybody Seen My Baby?', pushing the band toward late-1990s production textures while the songwriting stayed in Jagger/Richards hands. Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood and bassist Darryl Jones round out the core band.
Released September 29, 1997, Bridges to Babylon incorporated modern production from the Dust Brothers and Danny Saber alongside Don Was. It includes 'Anybody Seen My Baby?' (which interpolates k.d. lang's 'Constant Craving,' resulting in a songwriting credit for Kathryn Dawn Lang and Ben Mink) and 'Flip the Switch.'
