Unlimited Love marked John Frusciante's return to Red Hot Chili Peppers, his first studio album with the band since Stadium Arcadium in 2006, reuniting the lineup of Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and Frusciante. All songs are credited to the four members, written collectively from jams in the band's long-standing manner. Rick Rubin returned as producer after sitting out The Getaway. The reunion sessions were so productive that they yielded a second album, Return of the Dream Canteen, released later the same year.
The first album with John Frusciante returning to the band since Stadium Arcadium. Produced by Rick Rubin, their longest studio album by track count at 17 songs.
