Come On Over is the eighth studio album by Olivia Newton-John, released in March 1976 on MCA Records and produced by John Farrar. It was recorded at EMI's Abbey Road Studios in London in late 1975 and continues the country-pop direction that had made her a crossover star in the United States. Newton-John wrote none of the material; the album is built entirely from outside songs, led by the title track written by Barry and Robin Gibb for the Bee Gees' 1975 album Main Course. The song selection ranges from a Dolly Parton cover, 'Jolene,' to a reading of Lennon and McCartney's 'The Long and Winding Road,' alongside two Farrar-connected songs and the traditional 'Greensleeves.' It reached number 13 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Top Country Albums chart, and was certified Gold by the RIAA.
