This Is Me... Then is Jennifer Lopez's most openly autobiographical record, written and recorded during her relationship with Ben Affleck and dedicated to him, with songs like "Dear Ben" and "Loving You" addressing him directly. Lopez co-wrote nine of the album's tracks alongside her core collaborators Cory Rooney and Troy Oliver, with additional production from Dan Shea and 7 Aurelius. The hip-hop and soul-leaning singles "Jenny from the Block" and "All I Have" anchored the project commercially, the former built on Lopez's working-class Bronx narrative and the latter a duet sparring match with LL Cool J. This Is Me... Then is Jennifer Lopez's third studio album, released November 25, 2002 on Epic Records.
