Data Insight

Janet Jackson has no writing or production credit on Dream Street. Two of its nine songs came from her brother Marlon Jackson, who co-wrote and produced "Don't Stand Another Chance" with John Barnes and "All My Love to You" with Anthony Patler. Jesse Johnson wrote and produced "Pretty Boy" and "Fast Girls" on his own, and the five Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte productions used songs by other writers, with Bellotte co-writing only the title track.

Dream Street is Janet Jackson's second studio album, released by A&M Records in September 1984. Production was split three ways: her brother Marlon Jackson produced two tracks, Jesse Johnson produced two, and Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte produced the other five. It peaked at number 147 on the Billboard 200, the lowest US chart peak of any of her studio albums, and it is her only studio album with no song on the Billboard Hot 100. The lead single, "Don't Stand Another Chance", reached number 9 on the R&B chart and has backing vocals from her brothers Michael, Jackie and Tito Jackson. "Two to the Power of Love" is a duet with Cliff Richard.
