By the Numbers
Revolution Radio is the first Green Day album the band produced entirely on its own, recorded without an outside producer. Billie Joe Armstrong wrote the lyrics and the music is credited to Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool. The album is written and produced entirely in-house.
Green Day's twelfth studio album, released October 7, 2016. Self-produced and notably leaner than the trilogy albums, Revolution Radio was their first number one album in the United States, debuting atop the Billboard 200. 'Outlaws' features a co-writing credit for Jon Fratelli; 'Still Breathing' carries credits for all members of The Struts (Richard Parkhouse, Adam Slack, Luke Spiller, George Tizzard, Joshua Wilkinson) due to a melodic similarity.
