By the Numbers
¡Dos! is the garage-rock-leaning middle installment of Green Day's 2012 trilogy, partly inspired by Armstrong's side project Foxboro Hot Tubs. Billie Joe Armstrong wrote the lyrics and the music is credited to Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool, with Rob Cavallo co-producing. The album is written entirely by the band.
The second album in the 2012 trilogy, ¡Dos! was released November 13, 2012. It takes a garage rock direction and is more loosely structured than ¡Uno!, with rawer production and a more improvisational feel. Armstrong wrote all lyrics except 'Nightlife', which was co-written with Monica Painter.
