Somewhere Under Wonderland Songwriting Credits by Counting Crows

Somewhere Under Wonderland is the seventh studio album by Counting Crows, released September 2, 2014 on Capitol Records. It is the band's first album of original material in six years, following 2008's Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings, and their first release after leaving Geffen Records after eighteen years. Brian Deck produced the record at Fantasy Recording Studios in Berkeley, California, tracking in December 2013 and February 2014 before mixing at the Magic Shop in New York. The album opens with the eight-minute 'Palisades Park,' a sprawling narrative track released as the lead single, and includes 'Scarecrow,' the record's highest-charting song. Adam Duritz wrote or co-wrote the words on every track, working with guitarists Dan Vickrey and David Immerglück and bassist Millard Powers on the music for most of the songs. The nine-song set reached number six on the Billboard 200, the band's sixth top-ten album in the US.
