The first album Malcolm Young did not play on, and he is still credited as a writer on every track of it alongside Angus. His nephew Stevie Young plays the parts. It is the only case in the catalogue of a writing credit outliving the writer's participation, and Malcolm died three years later.

Rock or Bust is AC/DC's sixteenth studio album, released on 28 November 2014 and produced by Brendan O'Brien. Eleven tracks, the first recorded without Malcolm Young, who had withdrawn from the band with dementia and was replaced on rhythm guitar by his nephew Stevie Young. It reached number 1 in seven countries and number 3 in the US.
