By the Numbers
The first album the band produces alone, and the credits move for the first time in nine records: Angus and Malcolm Young take the production chair alongside their writing credit, which makes this the point where they stop handing the sound to anyone else. Phil Rudd leaves after it and is gone for eleven years.
Flick of the Switch is AC/DC's ninth studio album, released on 19 August 1983 and produced by the band themselves. Ten tracks. It reached number 4 in the UK and number 15 in the US, and was the last album with drummer Phil Rudd until his return in 1994.
