By the Numbers
Cliff Williams's first album, and he does not appear in the writing credits, which stay with the Young brothers and Bon Scott exactly as before. That is the pattern for every bassist and drummer the band ever has: the rhythm section plays, the guitarists and the singer write, and the split never moves.
Powerage is AC/DC's fifth studio album, released on 5 May 1978. Ten tracks, the first with bassist Cliff Williams, produced by Harry Vanda and George Young. It reached number 22 in Australia, number 23 in the UK and number 133 in the US.
