Weezer Songwriting Credits by Weezer

The Gold Album is the most evenly split writing credit of Weezer's career. Rivers Cuomo, who wrote most of the band's catalogue alone, takes sole credit on only two tracks here and is absent entirely from two more: Patrick Wilson wrote 'Shine Again' and 'Nowhere' on his own, and Brian Bell wrote 'The LA Sound' with Luther Russell. Every one of the ten songs still carries at least one member, so authorship stays complete, but the concentration is gone. The outside names are all people already in the room: Russell and Allan Grigg on the Wednesday collaboration, longtime band archivist Karl Koch and producer Klas Åhlund on 'The Show Must Go On'.
