Speak Now is Taylor Swift's third studio album, released October 25, 2010, through Big Machine Records. The album is the first in Swift's catalog written entirely alone, all 14 tracks carry no co-writing credits, a deliberate statement made to answer those who questioned her contributions to her own songs. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, sold over one million copies in its first week, and produced the singles 'Mine,' 'Back to December,' 'Mean,' 'Sparks Fly,' 'The Story of Us,' and 'Ours.' Produced again by Nathan Chapman with Swift as co-producer, the album expanded her lyrical scope to character-driven narratives: the title track's wedding-crasher fantasy, 'Dear John' as a thinly veiled address to John Mayer, and 'Innocent,' her response to Kanye West's VMA interruption. The closing track 'Long Live' became one of the most enduring fan anthems in her catalog.
