The Story

Ozuna is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and rapper, born Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado in San Juan in 1992. He decided to become a singer at twelve and was discovered by the producer Fernando Acevedo in Santurce La Placita, who told him to use his surname as his stage name. He debuted in 2012 with "Imaginando", signed to Sony Music Latin in 2017, and has since put five studio albums at number one on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. Aura reached number seven on the Billboard 200. He works in reggaeton and Latin trap but pulls in bachata, dembow, reggae and R&B, and like most artists in the genre he writes inside a room rather than alone.
