By the Numbers
Chad Kroeger writes on all eleven tracks and holds the sole music credit on nine of them. Producer Joey Moi shares lyric credits on five songs, and two tracks bring in writers from outside the band: Craig Wiseman, Chris Tompkins and Rodney Clawson on 'Lullaby,' and Brett and Brad Warren on 'Trying Not to Love You.' Mike Kroeger and Ryan Peake take scattered lyric credits alongside Kroeger. Joey Moi produced with the band across the front half of the record and Brian Howes across most of the second.
Here and Now was released on November 21, 2011 and was the band's last album for Roadrunner. It entered the Billboard 200 at number two on roughly 227,000 first-week copies, missing the top spot by less than a fifth of a percent. Nickelback produced it with Joey Moi and Brian Howes at Mountain View Studios in Abbotsford, British Columbia, and outside writers turn up only on 'Lullaby' and 'Trying Not to Love You.' The cover photographs the Gastown steam clock in Vancouver with its hands set to 11:21, the release date.
