Data Insight

One name that never appears on the cover sits on thirteen of the fifteen tracks: O’Neill, credited as writer, co-producer and recording engineer across the record. Mosty, legally Carlos Alejandro Patiño Gómez, writes on six and mixes or masters thirteen. Balvín has a writing credit on every track but almost never alone, with seven credited writers per song on average and eleven on "Gato". Guest verses arrive with their own production camps attached, so "En Alta" carries DJ Luian and Mambo Kingz while "Doblexxó" and "Ganster" hand the beat to Sky Rompiendo and Taiko.

Rayo came out on 9 August 2024, three years after Jose, and J Balvin built it as a party record rather than a confessional one. Fifteen tracks run 47:53, and ten of them carry a guest: Chencho Corleone, Luar La L, Feid, Saiko, Bad Gyal, Zion, Dei V, Ryan Castro, Blessd, Carín León, Omar Courtz, Yovngchimi and Quevedo. Mosty mixed and mastered most of the album while O’Neill ran the writing room and the vocal sessions. The RIAA certified it Gold in the Latin category.

Data note: Every track's writers, producers and engineering credits were confirmed from the label credit block Genius carries for each song, which lists recording, mixing, mastering and immersive mixing engineers alongside the phonographic copyright holder. Wikipedia supplied the tracklist, running times and chart data, MusicBrainz confirmed the track times, and Discogs confirmed the featured-artist billing on each track. verified is left false only because the composers field is incomplete: about two dozen credited writers publish under a stage name with no legal name available from any live source, so they are listed as lyricists and left out of composers rather than guessed. enrichSkip names all of them.
