By the Numbers
F8 is fully band-written, credited to Zoltan Bathory, Jason Hook, Ivan Moody, and Kevin Churko, with no covers. It arrived after a turbulent period for the band and topped the Mainstream Rock chart with 'Inside Out,' 'Living the Dream,' and 'A Little Bit Off,' the last also reaching No. 1 on the then-new Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. Kevin Churko produced. It marked the last album with guitarist Jason Hook before Andy James joined.
F8, pronounced fate, was recorded at the Hideout in Las Vegas between May and October 2019 and released on February 28, 2020, the band's first album for Better Noise. Kevin Churko produced. It entered the Billboard 200 at number eight and three of its singles went to number one on Mainstream Rock: 'Inside Out,' 'Living the Dream' and 'A Little Bit Off.' Ivan Moody described 'Inside Out' as his own account of addiction and of the friends he lost during it, Chester Bennington among them. It is the first album with drummer Charlie Engen and the last with guitarist Jason Hook.
