Linkin Park is an American rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California in 1996, known for blending alternative rock, hip-hop, and heavy metal into a signature sound that dominated the early 2000s. The band rose to worldwide fame with their debut album Hybrid Theory, one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century, and continued to evolve their style across eight studio albums. Following the death of lead vocalist Chester Bennington in July 2017, the band regrouped with new vocalist Emily Armstrong and returned with their eighth album, From Zero, in 2024.
