Indestructible is the fourth studio album by Disturbed, released in June 2008 on Reprise Records and produced by Johnny K. It was the band's most consistent chart performance to date and the first of their consecutive number-one albums on the Billboard 200, continuing a commercial run that made them one of the most reliable commercial performers in mainstream rock. Draiman wrote all lyrics; the album's themes address war, resilience, and post-9/11 American identity with the anthemic directness that had defined the band's commercial approach since The Sickness. 'Inside the Fire,' 'Perfect Insanity,' and 'The Night' were the principal singles; 'Inside the Fire' spent six weeks at number one on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. Indestructible has been certified gold in the United States and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, continuing the pattern established on Believe and Ten Thousand Fists. The album represents the full maturation of the Disturbed commercial formula and the beginning of the consecutive number-one album run that would last through their next three releases.
