Data Insight

Liam Howlett wrote, produced, recorded, engineered, and mixed nearly all of No Tourists himself, with co-production help from James Rushent, Olly Burden, and René LaVice on individual tracks. It was the final Prodigy studio album to feature Keith Flint, who sang on 'We Live Forever,' 'Champions of London,' and 'Give Me a Signal' before his death on 4 March 2019. Guest vocalists include Ho99o9 on 'Fight Fire with Fire,' Barns Courtney on 'Give Me a Signal,' and Brother Culture on 'Light Up the Sky,' while Howlett continued his sample-driven writing across the record.

No Tourists is the 2018 seventh studio album by The Prodigy, an electronic dance record built around aggressive, high-energy production released on November 2, 2018. Liam Howlett produced the album and played keyboards and synthesizers, with Keith Flint and Maxim on vocals, and Howlett described it as very much a band album. It produced the singles "Need Some1," "Light Up the Sky," "Fight Fire with Fire" featuring Ho99o9, "We Live Forever," and "Timebomb Zone." The album debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart with 23,952 copies, the band's seventh consecutive UK chart-topper, also topping the UK Dance Albums chart while reaching No. 7 on the US Top Dance Albums chart, and it was certified Silver in the UK for 60,000 sales and streams. It was the final studio album to feature Keith Flint before his death in March 2019.

Who wrote and produced No Tourists?
Liam Howlett wrote, produced, recorded, engineered, and mixed nearly all of No Tourists, with co-production from James Rushent, Olly Burden, and René LaVice on select tracks. He handled keyboards, synthesizers, sampling, and drum programming throughout. The album was firmly Howlett's creation, as with all Prodigy records.
Why is No Tourists significant in The Prodigy's history?
No Tourists, released on 2 November 2018, was the final Prodigy studio album to feature Keith Flint, who was found dead at his Essex home on 4 March 2019. Ho99o9 feature on 'Fight Fire with Fire,' Barns Courtney sings on 'Give Me a Signal,' and reggae vocalist Brother Culture appears on 'Light Up the Sky' and 'Resonate.' Keith Flint and Maxim handled the band's own vocals across the record. The guests brought punk, indie, and dancehall textures to Howlett's productions.
How did No Tourists perform on the charts?
No Tourists debuted at number 1 on the UK Albums Chart with 23,952 copies in its first week. It was The Prodigy's seventh consecutive UK number 1 album. The singles charted minimally, with only 'Need Some1' registering at number 91 on the UK Singles Sales Chart.
What samples are used on No Tourists?
Liam Howlett built tracks around several samples, including Loleatta Holloway's 'Crash Goes Love' on 'Need Some1' and Ultramagnetic MCs' 'Critical Beatdown' on 'We Live Forever.' Sampling remained a defining feature of Howlett's writing.
Did Keith Flint sing on No Tourists?
Yes, Keith Flint provided lead vocals on 'We Live Forever,' 'Champions of London,' and 'Give Me a Signal.' This was his final studio album with The Prodigy before his death in March 2019. Maxim also contributed vocals across the record.
