By the Numbers
Staind's self-titled seventh album is fully self-written and marked a deliberate return to the band's heavier roots, with Aaron Lewis on lyrics and the band on music. The lead single "Not Again" reached number four on the Rock Songs chart. It is entirely the band's own work and was their last album for over a decade before a long hiatus.
The self-titled seventh album came out on 13 September 2011 and entered the Billboard 200 at number five with 47,000 copies, a fifth straight US top-five record. It also fell off the chart after eight weeks, the shortest run of any Staind studio album, and had sold about 100,000 copies by that November. Lead single 'Not Again' spent seven non-consecutive weeks at number one on Mainstream Rock Songs.
