50 is the seventh studio album by Rick Astley, released in June 2016 and the comeback that returned him to the top of the UK Albums Chart for the first time in nearly three decades. Named for the age he reached that year, it is a near one-man record: Astley wrote every song, produced the album, and played most of the instruments himself, recording largely at home. The sound mixes pop with gospel and soul touches, anchored by the single 'Keep Singing.' Reaching number one and going platinum in the UK, it reframed Astley as a self-contained album artist and proved his comeback was no novelty.
