Fénix Songwriting Credits by Nicky Jam

Two names sit on all twenty-six tracks: Nick Rivera Caminero and Juan Diego Medina, the Medellín manager who signed him. Christian Mena is the third pillar, a writer and producer on fourteen songs including "El Amante", "Hasta el Amanecer" and both versions of "El Perdón", so the singles that rebuilt Nicky Jam's career all come from one desk. Guests rarely touch the writing beyond their own song. Daddy Yankee, Wisin, Cosculluela, Arcángel, El Alfa, Messiah, MineK, J Balvin and Enrique Iglesias each take a credit only where they sing. The pattern breaks at the end of the album, where the English-language versions bring in writers from outside that circle: "I Can't Forget You" and "Without You" carry five outside names apiece, and the three "With You Tonight" and "Forgiveness" cuts add Theron Thomas and Timothy Thomas.
