By the Numbers
All twelve tracks are Bellamy's alone, back to the standard arrangement after The 2nd Law's two Wolstenholme songs. Mutt Lange produces, which is the biggest outside name the band had worked with, and his contribution is audible in the arrangements rather than the credits: the writer column is one name from top to bottom.
Drones is Muse's seventh album, released in June 2015 with Robert John "Mutt" Lange producing. It is a concept album about a soldier turned into a weapon, and it stripped the band back to guitar, bass and drums after the electronics of The 2nd Law. It reached number one in the UK and the US.
