Life Is Peachy

Life Is Peachy is the second studio album by Korn, released in October 1996 on Immortal/Epic Records and produced by Ross Robinson, a rapid follow-up to the debut that maintained the raw production approach of Robinson's recording methodology while demonstrating the band's growing confidence in their musical identity. Davis wrote all lyrics; the album's 12 tracks include 'A.D.I.D.A.S.,' 'No Place to Hide,' 'Twist,' and the cover of Ice Cube's 'Wicked', the last demonstrating the hip-hop influence on the band's rhythmic approach. Life Is Peachy debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 with 100,000 first-week sales, a dramatic commercial improvement on the debut's 72nd-place chart entry, and has been certified double platinum in the United States. The album confirmed that Korn's commercial trajectory was rapidly escalating and set the stage for the breakthrough commercial performance of Follow the Leader two years later. Life Is Peachy is a more confident and slightly more polished version of the debut formula rather than an expansion of it.
