Exodus keeps EXO firmly on the performer side of the authorship line: every song was written and composed by outside professionals and SM staff writers, with no member credits. Names like Kenzie, Jo Yoon-kyung, Teddy Riley and the Underdogs fill the lyricist and composer columns, a reminder that the group's polished sound is the product of a label songwriting system rather than self-penned material.
Exodus is the second studio album by EXO, released in March 2015 by SM Entertainment in Korean and Chinese editions. Led by the single 'Call Me Baby,' it pushed the group toward a slicker R&B and electronic sound while keeping the SM songwriting machine at the center: the tracks were composed and written by professional writers and producers such as Kenzie, Jo Yoon-kyung, Teddy Riley and the Underdogs rather than the members. The album topped the South Korean chart and a reissue, Love Me Right, extended its run. By this point the group had been reduced after the departures of Kris and Luhan, but Exodus confirmed EXO as the dominant K-pop boy band of the era.
