Data Insight

Undisputed was DMX's first fully independent album and the last released in his lifetime, and he wrote all of his own raps on it. Dame Grease produced the bulk of the record, continuing a partnership that began on the 1998 debut, with Swizz Beatz and J.R. Rotem adding tracks. Commercially it was a fraction of his peak, but his lyrical authorship stayed intact.

DMX's seventh studio album, released September 11, 2012, through Seven Arts Music and Fontana Distribution. It was his first fully independent release, recorded without a major label deal after years of legal troubles and personal struggles. Machine Gun Kelly appears on "I Don't Dance" in one of his earliest major album features. Swizz Beatz returned to produce two tracks including the promotional single "What They Don't Know." Dame Grease produced the bulk of the album, maintaining the partnership that began on DMX's debut in 1998. The album debuted at number nineteen on the Billboard 200. DMX wrote all of his own lyrics throughout.
