Closer to the Truth gives Cher more writing credits than almost any other album in her catalog, with co-credits on 'Take It Like a Man,' 'Dressed to Kill,' and 'Lovers Forever' among others. Even so, the heavy lifting comes from outside writers like Pink and the 'Woman's World' team, and producers led by Mark Taylor. Closer to the Truth is the twenty-fifth solo studio album by Cher, released in 2013 and her first studio album in twelve years. A mix of dance-pop, ballads, and pop-rock, it reunited her with Believe-era producer Mark Taylor and brought in writers including Pink and writers behind the dance single 'Woman's World.' It became her highest-charting solo album in the US, debuting at number three.
