Burning Bridges Songwriting Credits by Bon Jovi

Burning Bridges was a contractual odds-and-ends record Bon Jovi assembled to close out the band's three-decade relationship with Mercury Records, pairing older unreleased and unfinished songs with a handful of newly completed ones. Producer and guitarist John Shanks co-wrote several tracks, including "We Don't Run" and the new title song, while longtime collaborator Billy Falcon co-wrote "A Teardrop to the Sea," "Who Would You Die For?," "Fingerprints," and "Life Is Beautiful." It was the first Bon Jovi album made without guitarist Richie Sambora, who still shares a credit on "Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning." Jon Bon Jovi framed the closing track "Burning Bridges" as a pointed jab at the label, and the band billed the whole set as a stopgap gift to fans.
