Bounce was Bon Jovi's eighth studio album, written largely in the months after the September 11 attacks, and its themes of resilience and recovery run through the record. Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora wrote most of the material, bringing in outside collaborators including Desmond Child, Andreas Carlsson, and Billy Falcon on several tracks. "Everyday" was the upbeat lead single, while songs like "Undivided" and "Bounce" reflected the band's response to the national mood. The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, the band's highest US chart entry to that point.
Post-9/11 album with Swedish pop-rock songwriter Andreas Carlsson joining as a co-writer on five tracks, bringing a polished commercial sensibility. Desmond Child returns to co-write on four tracks. Track 8 is Jon Bon Jovi's only solo write on the album.
