Data Insight

Arcángel writes on all 15 tracks and is the only name in the credits on six of them, a bigger share than he took on Ares the year before. The production goes the other way and spreads out over 31 names: Mambo Kingz on five songs, DJ Luian on four, Santo Niño on four, and the DJ Luian, Mambo Kingz, Santo Niño, JØWNY and Hydro group behind both "Lléname de Luz" and "Capricornio", the two tracks closest to the album's stated subject. Keityn is the outside writer who turns up most, on "Doble Cara", "Hábitos" and "Sigues Con Él". Every guest writes on the song they sing on and on nothing else.

Historias de un Capricornio was the first album Arcángel made for Rimas after leaving Pina Records, and he dedicated it to his mother. It landed at the end of a year that had put him in court on a domestic violence charge and then in hospital with a heart attack. Fifteen tracks, with Ozuna, Bad Bunny, Manuel Turizo, Sech, Dímelo Flow and Myke Towers on them. It reached number 2 on both Top Latin Albums and Latin Rhythm Albums and number 3 in Spain.

Six artists across 15 tracks. Ozuna on "Rehén", Bad Bunny on "Infeliz", Manuel Turizo on "Hábitos", Sech and Dímelo Flow on "Sigues Con Él", and Myke Towers on "Memoria Rota".
What is the biggest song on the album?
"Sigues Con Él" with Sech and Dímelo Flow. It reached number 3 on Hot Latin Songs, topped both Latin Airplay and Latin Rhythm Airplay in May 2020, and got to 16 in Spain and 78 on the Hot 100. A remix with Romeo Santos followed in April 2020.
Who did Arcángel dedicate the album to?
His mother. He said so in interviews before it came out, and named Ozuna, Bad Bunny and Manuel Turizo as guests without saying which songs they were on.
Is Historias de un Capricornio certified?
Yes, the RIAA certified it Platinum (Latin). It peaked at number 2 on Top Latin Albums and Latin Rhythm Albums and number 3 in Spain, then finished the following year at 15 on the Top Latin Albums year-end chart and 13 on the Latin Rhythm Albums year-end chart.
Data note: Rayvan is credited as a writer on "Ponte Bonita" in the Wikipedia table and as Rayven on Genius, with no legal name published on either, so the name stays in lyricists only. Servando Primera on "Memoria Rota" comes from Genius and is absent from the Wikipedia writer table, so he is listed as a lyricist only. Wikipedia gives C. Jeday as a producer of "Video Llamada" while Genius gives Chris Jedi; Chris Jedi is used, because Genius credits him on both "Infeliz" and "Video Llamada" and Wikipedia credits Chris Jedi on "Infeliz". Eddie Ortega is credited on Genius as immersive mixing engineer on every track and is recorded that way here. Guest legal names follow the spelling already used across this site: Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio and Michael Anthony Torres Monge, each confirmed against a MusicBrainz alias or the subject's own Wikipedia article.
