The Story

Alice in Chains formed in Seattle in 1987 around Jerry Cantrell's guitar and Layne Staley's voice. Facelift, Dirt and the 1995 self-titled album all went multi-platinum before Staley's addiction stopped the band; he died in 2002. William DuVall has fronted them since 2006 and there are six studio albums in all.
